Jeff Gore for Mayor of Huber Heights!

My parents moved to Huber Heights in 1976 when I was 4 years old to Tilbury Rd, just down the street from Shenandoah Elementary School.  I'm 45 years old and graduated from Wayne High School in 1990.  After graduating from Wayne I enlisted in the U.S Army as a Medical Specialist and spent my time between Ft. Knox, Ft Sam Houston, and Ft. Polk.

After leaving the Army I lived in Houston Texas and worked in the construction / building materials business which helped prepare me for my consulting business in the residential development and home building industry.  In 2008 as most of you remember the housing market crashed which made it extremely difficult to remain in business in that industry.

For the last 8 years I have spent my time in the financial services industry helping people build a solid financial plan to help them prepare for their future into their retirement years.  I have worked with clients individually and through their employers.  I have worked in management positions at the office staff, district, and regional levels.  I have experienced great success in building teams that performed far above expectations.  I have been placed into situations where teams were under performing and with hard work and relationship building was able to turn those situations around into first class award winning operations.

A little over a year ago I was involved in a motorcycle accident ( yes I'm a biker ) and was laid up for several months and to be honest it was the best thing that happened to me because it gave me the time to step back and realize the things that were most important in my life.  It allowed me the time to evaluate how I wanted to move forward.  With much anxiety and support from my loving and supporting wife I decided to pursue my passion for teaching and enrolled in school to obtain my M.Ed.  Currently I am serving as a long term substitute teacher at Wayne High School teaching freshman physical science and there is no doubt I'm where I was always meant to be.

I believe all things happen for a reason, and I never would have been able to pursue being mayor with the time I had to invest in my previous career.  Through one of the more difficult times in my life I have came out on the other end a much happier and more determined person.  I am now able to follow my passions and one of the biggest of them is being able to lead Huber Heights to becoming even more successful in growth, fiscal responsibility, and a community that we can all be proud to be a part of.

My wonderful wife Toni is one of the most caring, compassionate, and selfless people I know.  She has been an employee of Wayne High School for the past 17 years.  She was a teacher for 15 of those years, and has been a counselor for the last two.  If you've had kids at the high school since 1999 they probably have had some type of interactions with Toni.  We are all better people for knowing her.

We have three sons that we couldn't be more proud of

Dustin is our oldest and he is in business for himself in the construction / remodeling industry.

Vince is our middle son and he lives in Houston Texas

Dylan is our youngest and he is a Junior at Wayne
